I love that word for so many reasons but the number one reason is how it makes me feel. Just saying or hearing the word sparks a feeling of calmness and peace on the inside. In a time when there is so much to do and so much going on we seldom get a chance to just stop and take a breath. Tranquility is the feeling when you take in a deep breath, hold it for a second and then slowly let it out. Well just as the last of the breath is exhaled that’s when you feel it. I was always told growing up that when your angry or stressed out before you say anything you might regret take a deep breathe first. I guess if we took the time to allow more tranquility in our lifes, things may seem a little bit nicer. There might even be a chance we may hear God a bit clearer as well. Like Pastor Troy always says you can learn anything if your the one always talking. Just some food for thought…
tranquility – a state of peace and quiet
quietude, tranquillity, quietness
calmness – a feeling of calm; an absence of agitation or excitement
peace of mind, ataraxis, peacefulness, repose, serenity, peace, heartsease – the absence of mental stress or anxiety
easiness, relaxation – a state of refreshing tranquility
tranquility is what we all need. its so easy to do all the talking…but when you just listen you can hear….tomas im listening.
